Well I have joined the Bandwagon! I made some Oreo Cookie Balls but I think it sounds better if we call them Oreo Bon Bons. Or better yet – we could call them Oreo Truffles! Why would you want to eat something called a “ball” – isn’t that something you can bounce? So let me share with you my first attempt at making Oreo Cookie Balls.
Needed Ingredients:
One Package of Oreos
One 8 ounce package softened cream cheese
Good chocolate to dip the balls in.
First I got out the package of Oreos that I just purchased less than 24 hours before. And surprise some are missing! This is what happens when you have a teenage son in the home!
First Step – crush the Oreo cookies and try not to eat too many!
Now I wasn’t sure about adding a full package of cream cheese, since some were missing. So I put in 2/3 of a package and it worked.
Roll the mixture into balls and cool in refrigerator about an hour.
The fun part was dipping the balls in the chocolate. We dipped some strawberries too.
These can be made ahead because the next day the Chocolate Dipped Oreo Balls tasted even better!
This was the easiest Valentine’s Dessert ever!

This is Lucas by the way, but I was wondering if these were the same ones that the people renting your basement made for Christmas. Are they? I hope so because those were a yummy ball of goodness.
We made these today. It was sad to use all those oreo’s but so yummy!
Lucas – I don’t think they are the same – I need to get her recipe.
